We’d love you to experience some of the following beautiful sites, some of them are our favourite things to do in the Catskills. These destinations offer a mix of outdoor adventures, culture, and natural beauty for a memorable Catskills spring trip. Many of the destinations are great to visit before you’d come to our properties or after a stay on the way home. 

  1. Belleayre mountain: not only close to our heart but only very close to us in distance. Find hiking and nature trails for wildlife watching. Enjoy a scenic chairlift rides to the top of the mountain and hike down for an easy afternoon hike. 

  2. Kaaterskill Falls: Indeed, an iconic two-tiered waterfall, with a moderate hiking trail offering beautiful views. A must see. Bring mild hiking shoes. It’s certainly a popular spot se expect a crowd on nice days. 

  3. Plattekill Falls: Get on the scenic waterfall hike in Platte Clove Preserve near Tannersville. It offers a less crowded experience compared to Kaaterskill Falls.

  4. Overlook Mountain: Popular hike near Woodstock leading to a fire tower with Panoramic Hudson Valley views and the surrounding Catskills peeks.

  5. Did we say Fire Tower! There are five we know at this point in the Catskills: Balsam Lake Mountain Fire Tower, Red Hill Fire Tower, Tremper Mountain Fire Tower, and the Hunter Mountain Fire Tower. Each of them bring their own adventure along. We dare you to put them on your adventure, hiking list. 

  6. Hunter Mountain: Scenic chairlift rides for breathtaking views without hiking, near Hunter. In winterer its’ a bit Aspen like! It’s the town where the well-heeled crowd likes to hang be seen. 

  7. A stroll through Woodstock: Experience the corkiness of this artistic community with galleries, shops, and the Woodstock Museum. We love spending an afternoon every so often in this cute town and soaking it all in. 

  8. Get close with the community at Farmers’ Markets: Woodstock Farm Festival, Catskill Farmers’ market, and Delhi Farmer’s Market, The Round Barn in Rockville for local products and crafts. 

  9. Artist wonder…Opus 40: Saugerties massive sculpture park with massive quarried bluestone sculptures amid natural landscapes created by sculptor Harvey Fite over 37 years. It covers 6 acres of land. 

  10. Hudson River Skywalk: Rip Van Winkle Bridge Walkway offering stunning river and mountain views.
